Olympics - Curling Tickets

When trying to picture what Curling is, it's best to think of bocce ball and shuffleboard on ice. The winter sport dates to the early 1500s and became an Olympic sport in 1924. It reappeared at the 1932 games, but disappeared for about 56 years. Each Curling team has four members, including one shooter who tosses the stone curl and three others who sweep the ice with brooms in order to speed it up or change direction. The goal is to get the stone into the bullseye and stay there. That's the trick through because other teams are trying to knock your stone out of contention. The sport was relatively unknown in the United States for a long time but interest in the sport surged after the Salt Lake City Olympics after which membership in the U.S. Curling Association grew by 15 percent. No doubt many of these members will be in the stands cheering on the American Olympiads at the upcoming Winter Games in Vancouver.
