Paramore

 Although they have been on the rock music scene a relatively short amount of time, first forming in 2004, Paramore has quickly made a name for themselves as one of the premiere rock bands making music today.  The band first formed in Tennessee, a state known more for its country music roots than for rock music.  The group's second album, called Riot!, was really popular and sold enough albums in the United States to be certified platinum and enough albums in the UK and Canada to be certified gold.  Although Paramore was happy with the success of their sophomore album, they were even more pleased with the album that follows, Brand New Eyes, as that album sold even more albums.  

 One of the unique things about Paramore in the world of rock music is that it is made up of a mixture of male and female artists.  Many rock bands that play the style of hard rock that Paramore does are entirely made up of men.  Seeing a female performer, at lead vocalist no less, is certainly an inspiration for wanna-be female rockers out there today.  Also a unique aspect of this rock band is that they allowed their religious faith to seep into their music, given that it is such an important aspect of their lives.
