Cirque du Soleil - La Nouba

 Cirque du Soleil is known for their abstract visuals and circus-like performance. Acrobats and gymnasts in bright, amazing costumes and surrounded by an intriguing backdrop carry on the Canadian entertainment company's tradition with La Nouba. The title is taken from the French phrase, "faire la nouba," which means to "live it up" or "top party." With a name like that, how can the show be anything but spectacularly fun? There are two singers and six musicians who perform La Nouba's music, which is composed by famed composer Benoit Jutras. Although it's sometimes sorrowful, most of La Nouba's music is upbeat, mysterious, and perfectly coordinated with what's happening on the stage. There are two distinct voices in the show - a male singing alto, which adds an operatic feel to the music," and a female gospel singer. The show is a perfect match for the freestanding theater at Walt Disney World Resort.
