Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet is one of the top dance companies in the country. In 2008, Dance Magazine included the New York City-based dance company in its "25 to Watch" feature.  Its artistic director Benoit-Swan Pouffer has fostered the most creative environment for dancers and choreographers to develop productions fit for a worldwide audience. And in the summer of 2008, the dance company ventured out of the dance world into documentary films. It started Project 52, a year-long project for its Web site, in order to focus on the human stories and the intersection of dance and life. You can see the stars of the documentary in person at one of their many shows.
